Tucker Gergen - Neverwhere: The Disaster TV Show Turned Great Book

  Neverwhere I read this book for the banned book project and it is one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. This book has an interesting history. First it was made as a TV show but that failed horribly because of low budget and bad CGI. Then it got picked up by the famous book author Neil Gaiman who worked on the TV show. He saw the potential in the piece. The book starts with your average man living the average life. He works in an office job has a fiance, all that good picture perfect life. Then he finds this poor young girl on the side of the street. She is beaten up, bruised and bloody. His fiancee wants to go because they have an important meeting but, Richard the man, stays behind and helps her. He eventually gets disengaged because of this. This girl is called Door and she is a famous person from a place called neverwhere.
